Some new pics of the stock and underneath the barrel/reciever. I've attached pics of the waffenmarks, numbers, other markings so you guys can take a peek (note: the sling is a yugo sling)
K98 MAUSER RIFLE CARTRIDGE HOW TO
It is however missing the cleaning rod and it came with an unmarked sight hood that is not attached (any idea how to get this b*st*rd on?!) It went through a few modifications to eventually become the K98, the main battle rifle of the German army in World War II. It was the most important arm in the hands of German troops in World War I. Maybe it is a factory wartime refurb? or someone just collected a bunch of parts and slapped it together? In 1898, the German army bought the Mauser design and its 7.92×57 cartridge as their standard combat rifle. It doesn't seem to be a Russian capture as their is no electropencil, or horrid X marking that I've read about, none of the swastikas are pinged out, and both capture screws are in place. I am looking for best, most correct, clean, accurate, value, etc. The tin is marked with the WaffenAmt stamp with'WaA613' under it on one side of the top and'ab44' on the other side of the top. It includes: Tobacco Tin' case with one closure clip missing Oiler(Bakelite) Pull through Chain Oiler Brush The take down tool is not included. What ammo should I look for This is the 8mm Mauser. Lee Double Cavity Pistol Bullet Mold Number 452-200-SWC 90348. This is a vintage WWII era German K98 Mauser rifle cleaning kit in nice condition. Got the clean bill of health for a great gun and good barrel. This one is all matching and has a very clear 'DRP' stamp on the stock. This one was made the year Hitler came to power in Germany. This gun was ordered for and issued to the 'Deutches Reich Post' or German Postal Service during the Weimar period of German history. Other parts match themselves such as the H-band, magazine floor plate etc. I got a K98 a few months back, and took it to get the barrel crowned and looked-over. This is an excellent example of a DRP-marked Mauser K98, manufactured in 1933. Most of the numbers match such as the whole bolt, receiver and barrel which is good since I plan on doing a bit of shooting with it. Just wanted to get your input on it see what you thought. They seem pretty scarce north of the border and are a pain to import so I felt pretty lucky finding this guy.

Just wanted to get your take on this Mauser K98 I picked up here in Canada today.
